États-Unis | 19 mars 2020The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (the ACGME) is the national accrediting body for all institutions that sponsor residency and fellowship training programs throughout the country (MD and DO). It uses accreditation as the vehicle through which it assesses the ability of institutions, and the GME programs they sponsor, to train physicians so that they have the necessary competence to function within their chosen specialty areas. In furtherance of its mission to ensure that residents and fellows receive quality education and training, the ACGME strictly construes its standards and requirements for sponsors and programs.
